Do girls lay eggs.......

I didn't realize just how much water my girls drink! ( just had to fill water again)

Anyway, I have 7 layers right now with four getting ready. Some days I'll get 7 eggs and others 5. I have a Buff who lays a double yolker at least once a week. It looks really painful (BIG) so I do a bum check to make sure she's okay. I'll have 1 or 2 eggs first thing in the morning then the rest lay later in the day.

I thought mine only laid in the morning or late morning, and that out of our 18 girls only (maybe 8-10) where laying until last week we found a clutch of 9 eggs in the fromt yard and then yesterday the landlord moved his car our of the yard so we can start our wood pile and what was under the car?????? 28 eggs!!!! all different sized, most white, so I think the polish have been busy under the car.
Now I need to figure out what to do with all these old eggs. Any ideas?

Mine lay a little later each day and then skip a day then lay first thing in the am...it is true about the every 26 hour thing - they lay just a little later each day....
