Hi! We have been having trouble with raccoons and have coyotes in the area. We have an electric fence, but the coons seem to have made it past. We thought we could try red lights to look like eyes. Anyone have experience with these? Do they work? How big should they be? Any thoughts or "how to-s" would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Lock the birds in the coop at night and every night. That's your problem solver. As for the fence, it may be grounding out, other than jumping or somehow digging under without getting shocked a ground predator can't get by it. Check your fencing with a tester and remove weeds and branches that are grounding it.

Animals are smarter than people give them credit for. Lights wont work for the long haul. Motion lights may work with passing predators but any animal that lives in the area is no longer threatened by them. Just lock the birds every night and check your electric fence is working properly for day protection.
