Do good hens sometimes go bad? (Turn mean?)

My Am was broody and hateful to my BR which is normal and I separated them with the AM in a crate. Now she is no longer broody and I put them back together. This morning I went to check and she had bloodied up the Barred Rock.

Last chance. She is going to be rehomed to a farm with a rooster to keep her in line. I will not buy another Am. without a rooster around. I can't keep them where I live now.

I don't mean to sound foolish.. But which breed are you meaning by am? Americana?? I've never had one myself. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Yes she is an Ameraucana. They got along pretty well for 3 years except when she was broody. She needs a home with a rooster and where she can hatch babies.
