Just wondering if they also eat fire ants. Here in TX they are a big problem, if they eat them I might be able to convince my DH I need some

I don't see why they wouldn't. I've heard tale of guineas standing beside bee hives and picking them off as they come to and from the hive. One of the more experienced owners on here may know for sure though.

Out here in CA we have these huge red and black bodied ants... I've seen my Guineas eating them, some shake their head, rub their beaks on the ground and only eat a few (I can't imagine they taste good, not that any bug does, lol), others eat every one they find. I've never seen them eating fire ants tho.

Fire ants are highly acidic in flavor... They kind of taste like a lemon on some super steroids... Or alum if you have ever put that in your mouth.. awfull...

After I saw Bear Grylls do it, I had to try at least one... It wasn't good... He said he could make a meal out of them... I give him respect for that, because I refuse...
