Do hens eat and drink while sitting on her eggs?

We just got a Golden Laced Wyandotte that is sitting on 12 eggs and I was wondering if she is going to get up and eat and drink? I have put water in with her and the eggs and it does not seems like she is interested at all. What should I do to make her the most comfortable?

She'll come out of the coop at least once a day. Delivering one of those nasty broody poops, drink, eat, scratch about some then back to the nest. They're hard wired for that trance like state. Suddenly only pooping once a day and getting water and feed maybe twice a day. They take care of themselves quite well.
