Somewhere over the rainbow
I bought a coop for my chickens that said it was for 3 to 4 chickens but only comes with enough room to have two nesting boxes so I was wondering if they all will lay their eggs at the same time.

No, most chickens don't lay like clockwork. And if more than two need to lay at the same time, they will find a spot :p either on top of another chicken or in a random place...some chickens may not like the nesting boxes, it's a personal preference...but really, two is probably enough.

Thanks, I was really worried that would be a problem for them.

Howdy outside

I have had two nest boxes for four gals for two years now and on very rare occasions there has been some squabbling for nesting space.

I have bantams who do not lay every day and depending on the breed, your gals may also not lay every day.

It is very rare for me to get eggs from all of them on the one day and even when that does happen, it has not been at the same time.

I totally agree with thecrumbler that if more than two do decide they need to lay at the same time, they will work it out
