Do hens wait for a specific clutch size?

Yeah, baby! These guys were the true survivalists! I have no bloody idea where they ever got any water from 'cause it don't rain in Los Angeles!!!
If they are consuming largerly living plant and animal matter, especially when in maintenance mode, chickens can go without access to liquid water. They are very good at scavenging water produced by their own metabolism and from the food directly. They are not able to do the same when on a dry feed diet. Small chicks not so tough unless they have access to dew in the morning. When we kept them in horse pastures with only a pond about 100 yards away, they did not always go to the pond as they got water from other sources, even during peak drought, and I could not find it in the form of standing water.
