It has a large male comb, male coloring, red wing patches, and male specific feathering.

What do you mean when you say male colouring and patches? The more I can learn the easier this will hopefully get! This hatch of barnyard mixes have been way trickier than our first group of chickens which were purebred wyandotte’s and orps.

See the red patches everywhere on his body? It has a "patchy" look to them. In a lot of EE males, they get red shoulder patches.

Thats a main one right there. Compared to a pullet (third picture), the pullet has an even coloring.

Good to know, thanks! This is our first group of mixes, but knowing that makes sense cause the other ones of similar colouring were already in the bachelor pad (they have more noticeable saddle feathers so I was sure sooner on them).

It is a cockerel cause it has saddles.

It's because he has MALE saddles. Pullets have saddle feathers too.

Yep. It's really pretty. Blue wheaten is kinda similar to the pattern your mix has, and that's one of the reasons I fell in love with the variety. I love the contrast in colors.

He is handsome. Nothing wrong with mutts if you are not into showing, breeding show stock, or keeping purebreds.
