do I dare ask where my turkey's went to?

I had 3-4 week turkeys that went out to the "nursery" coop with my other babies. They were there 2 days and then went AWOL. I let my babies out during the day to play and eat when its nice and the turkey's never returne........Did something get them or did they run off? I suppose they wont come home either.

3 to 4 week olds are really young to be free ranging without mama. A turkey that young cannot escape a predator or roaming dog.

All my other chickens and ducks in the pen stay around the yard and come back in in an hour...there is no roaming dog to worry about and no preditors during the day to speak of.........

They were too young to turn loose without a mother.

they probably got lost, they are not like chickens were they know how to return home at that age.

They were WAY to young to free range on their own.

Ours don't touch dirt till they are 8-10 weeks old and even then they don't range freely at first, they will get lost and never find their way back. If they were out over night they are more then likely gone.
