Number 3/4 looks right to me. I have heard that Ameraucana egg shells are colored all the way through and EE eggs the color is only external. So the EE shell would be white on the inside and the Ameraucana egg would be blue/green on the inside. Which was my experience with mine but like I said I haven’t had an EE before

Oh that’s fascinating! I’ll have to check her egg shells.
Also, here are 2 chicks I got from a local feed store claiming “blue Ameraucana” - wondering if 2 aren’t also EE…

True Ameraucana's are sold with color denoted and are much more expensive than EE/Americanas. Few feed stores sell Ameraucanas, I've only seen them once myself.

Nothing wrong with EEs, but there's no standard colorization for them. The reddish brown one is male based on comb and looks like some rust patches are coming in, and assuming the cream one is also an EE that's also likely a male based on comb.

I honestly have no problem with EEs and in fact my older EEs are the sweetest and most social of our current flock plus I love the diverse colored eggs! So yeah, I’m not mad if they’re EEs. Just trying to get my facts straight.

I'm not sure about your Blue Ameraucana chicks (looks possible they are) but of the other pictures I see, none of your other birds would be called Ameraucana.
My understanding is that people want the birds to "breed true" and consistently look the same, produce the same egg color, etc. Some APA breeds don't have set colors, but Ameraucana do.

According to "ameraucana . org", there are currently 10 accepted colors by the APA for Ameraucana.

Blue
Splash
Wheaten
Blue Wheaten
Buff
Brown Red
Silver
White (recessive white, not dominant white. Dominant white changes the leg color)
Self Blue (*commonly known as Lavender. Pet peeve of mine. I don't like that apa calls it self blue.)

But agreed on easter eggers being fun and nice. Love the variety of feather colors.

Also, your big fluffy brown-ish bird with the hidden gold neck feathers? (Sorry I don't know names or colors, still learning) GORGEOUS. Stunning. Just wow.

My EE eggs have always been blue all the way through. There are only two colors of eggs, blue or white. Brown eggs are white with a brown coating. They will be white on the inside. Green, olive and other colors are blue with various shades or layers of brown laid over. Then there are some differences of bloom color which accounts for cream, pink and purple shades. That's my understanding anyway. I will defer to anyone smarter than me who cares to correct me.

Thanks! That’s Tina, she lays the biggest blue eggs I’ve ever seen. I was told she was an Ameraucana but I’m guessing she’s probs an EE

I could very well be wrong. Chicken breeds confuse me, as it's more like a "look like this, have these characteristics" thing. And it's bizarre when only certain colors are accepted.

Curious how the others will turn out. So colorful.
Easter eggers are the best. I think they were sold out when I got my birds.

You have it right. Blue color is throughout the egg. Brown is sprayed on the outside of the shell (inside remains white). Green eggs are a combo of blue shell overlayed with brown spray on the outside.
