These chicks come from my own birds, and at the moment all my birds are running together, so these babies could be pure, or they could be mixed. Possible mothers are:

White Silkies
Black Silkie mix
Mille Fleur d'Uccle
Mottled Cochin
Splash Cochins
Barred Cochin
Buff Orpington
1 standard Welsummer mixed hen is in there too, but none of these hatched from her eggs, that I know. She lays a bigger egg and I didn't set any of her eggs.

Fathers could be:

White Silkie
Mottled Cochin
Barred Cochin
White Cochin
Splash Cochin
Buff Orpington

I do not believe that either of my Frizzled hens are laying currently. Here are the chicks:

I suspect that these two are at least half Barred Cochin, if not full:

The two on the left are the same kind, and probably come from my Splash hens as they were laying the most at the time I collected these eggs. They have since gone into a molt and have stopped laying again.

I don't know what color the one on the right is, but they are sooooo cute!:

And here is the only one in the group that I can identify as a Silkie mix. It's the loudest of the Bantams, but oh so cute. I don't know if one of my White Silkie hens laid it, or if my Black Silkie mix hen laid it. I don't think the Black Sikie mix did though because this chick has better foot feathering than she did as a chick. It has 5 toes and a vaulted skull too. My Black Silkie mix didn't have the vaulted skull so we didn't know what kind of chick she was until her actual feathers started to come in:

Any ideas of what I have here? I'll have more mystery chicks after the 9th, but those will be standard sized. They don't hatch til the 9th! Any help anyone can give me would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

looks like you have 2 black cochins, 2 blues and maybe a splash cochin, they all look like they have the feathering out to the middle toes and yellow feet. that last one looks like a silkie-does it have the 5 toes?

i probably should let you know that the cochin traits seem to take over the other breeds. i just hatched out 10 chicks and most look like the dad-duck wing bantam cochin-most chicks are black with heavy foot feathering. my girls are: 2 faverolles, 1 buff brahma, 1 black cochin, 1 black sizzle, 1 partridge wyandotte, and a wc polish. the polish x's are the only ones that look mostly like mom but ended up black with slight foot feathering, and the wyandotte x looks like mom's color but dad's feet and body!

i would bet that the last one's father is the white silkie and it's mother is the black silkie mix, that would explain how it has more feathers on it's feet than it's mother.

I wish! But truth is, I haven't seen him mount a single hen. Not a one. He just recently started crowing. He just turned 1 yr old. I dunno, maybe he's a late bloomer? Lol. The Silkie hens were probably mounted by my Black Mottled roo. My Cochin roos are the busiest roos, if you get my drift, lol. Apparently they REALLY like my Black Frizzle Cochin hen because they managed to pull out all the feathers on the back of her head.

And she isn't even laying yet! I wish she was though. Neither of my Frizzles are laying just yet. So mommy is probably a Silkie, and daddy is more than likely the Mottled roo. I'll know once the baby's feathers start to come in. I see specks of color in the down which also leads me to believe daddy might be the Mottled Cochin. Should be a pretty bird if that's the case.
