I was guessing they were about 4 weeks old, but now I'm thinking that they might be younger than that.

I was hoping to have some girls in there because my youngest layers are almost two. I had two layers that my broody hatched last summer but some predator got them Sat. night. The door wasn't latching properly on the coop and something just strolled in and killed them

, (I replaced the faulty latch with two new ones.) I bought these at the farmers market as a box of straight run asst chicks, but I think I may have gotten somebody's unwanted cockerals. Now, I've fallen for them, but I can't keep them if they're boys. One rooster is more than plenty for my 4 remaining hens. I love them already though and am hoping there are at least a couple of girls in there.

Thanks in advance for you help!

I know it's hard to be sure at this age, but I'd like to know if I should still be on the lookout for pullets or if there is a chance I might get some girls from this group. I wanted 3-4 new girls

, but would be satisfied with two.

Thanks again!

I agree and I think #4 maybe is a pullet too.

4 does have slightly reddish wattles, but the comb does still look yellow to me. i'm leaning toward pullet for that one also.
