no need to guess as your correct! He is a little cockerel. My lavender Orps are 15 weeks and my male has just a little bit bigger comb than that but my girl has no red or wattles even starting!

When should he start crowing? He honks like a goose and that's about it.

Lol as I'm hearing him make that sound. Orpington's can start anywhere between 6 months to 9 months, but yours sounds like it is finding his voice now. I would say in about a month or so he will start making that wonderful sound we all love!

Lol as I'm hearing him make that sound. Orpington's can start anywhere between 6 months to 9 months, but yours sounds like it is finding his voice now. I would say in about a month or so he will start making that wonderful sound we all love!

Lol, I have 2 full grown Roos that crow half the day away and my neighbors have never complained and that might be because I don't complain about their dogs barking all the time too!
