Do I have a broody duck? Is there a possibility of it??

I have a muscovy pekin mix (my pic) the pekins and muscovy are gone, so our only ducks are 3 female campbell females and one campbell drake. Their the owners of those eggs.

Several days worth of them now that ive looked. Maybe half a week of eggs in there.

My WH is broody now for the first time. She would typically lay eggs anywhere she felt like dropping them. Once I noticed she was laying in the same spot everyday, she went broody about a month later. She also became very docile and quit quacking all the time. One day she became super loud again and started fluffing up and wagging her tail at me. That's how I knew she had finally gone broody.

We removed it and piut the the eggs in our incubator since they dont seem to be sitting.

Well it’s nice to have different ways of getting ducklings. Keep us updated!
Funny thing is, we actually hatched a clutch just before easter. They would be oreo and his/her siblings :P. Not looking forward to having to care of close to 30 ducklings XD (there were 31 eggs in the nest.)

My ducks have two nests. The one mama duck didn't start nesting until she was done laying. If they are brooding, you will notice a lot of eggs in a few days. They usually don't start sitting on the eggs until they have laid the whole clutch. It took my mama duck about four or five days. Last count I had was 17, she hardly leaves the nest now. They all may be duds, we shall see. Closing in on 28 days now. I don't mess with her nest. I let her do her job. If we have little ones hatch then we do, if not I will throw them out. Give it time love.
