Do I have a hen & a roo or what?

Hello! I am new to BYC and new to the chicken family

We were given two chickens at the end of April and were told that they were 6 week old Welsummers and that one was a hen and the smallest one is a rooster. I am just not sure and was wondering if I could others thoughts to see what you think we have

So, they were 6 weeks in April - making them about 10 weeks now? Can you get a good clear chest shot of them? With Welsummers, the chest is one of the easiest things to look at as males feather in black and females salmon.

These pics are at 6 wks - the pic in the middle is the one we were told is a roo - I will try to get better pics this weekend. Thanks for your help!

Could you try to take some pictures of these chicks in natural light. It's not very clear what the feathers on the chest look like. The combs are screaming cockerel.

Are they assertive? First to feed, cuz looks like roos to me. My roos always stood up taller, stood at the front of the flock, came to the food bowl first.

sorry I have neck and shoulder troubles and can't twist and bend to make out the photos. I don't think I can turn them right side up from here.
