We have a 4.5 month old silver laced Wyndotte. We love her/him and she has a great disposition. She is supposed to be a hen, however I am starting to wonder. I did find a picture of a male and female online and mine looks like the girl but I am not sure. I guess my main question is at what age are Roosters when they start crowing? 20170711_181501.jpg 20170711_181541.jpg 20170711_181327.jpg 20170711_181327.jpg 20170711_181541.jpg 20170711_181501.jpg

I find sexing wyandottes very difficult, I cant really tell i would need a better picture of the back/tail feathers put from the first picture it looks like a cockerel to me.

I find sexing wyandottes extremely easy!
This is a cockerel (rooster)
This photo shows a male and a female. If you look at the one on the left the female it is identical to mine. So I can't tell.

My family is so attached to the chicken, if it is a boy it will have to go. Still praying for a miracle that Salt is a hen.
