I am a first time chicken owner. My two Rhode Island Reds are 2 months old. They look a little different from each other. Could one be a rooster?

They are both pullets. Not all breeds have identical colors depending on where the chickens originated from. If they came from a hatchery or feed store then it is normal for them to not look identical. When you buy from local breeders with great bloodlines, you will rarely notice differences in their chickens because they are breeding for a certain look.

Ok thank you. It’s the tail feathers that threw me off, not so much the color. The darker one just has different tail feathers from the lighter one, and the two other breeds I have.
