I have some 3 month old blue laced red Wyandottes. We ordered hens but I am beginning to think we have a rooster. I have previous hen experience but have never had a rooster. This one is much larger with a more pronounced comb and wattle, as well as pointier feathers. Am I right thinking it’s a roo? The pics with two birds show the comparison to the others. “He’s” on the left.

Hi @kristine16
I am not familiar with that particular breed, but my roos' saddle feathers are significantly more slim and pointed than those, and they don't come in till later. What are the feathers like around the hackle? They don't look obviously pointed either in the first photo where we can see them a bit. The comb and wattle are obviously more developed but it is possible that this bird may just be a bit older than the smaller one. No doubt others will chime in soon.

I should’ve included this photo too.
