Do I have all EE"s???? (lots of pics)

What a beautiful bird! Lovely multicolored feathers! And what great info from everyone--thanks so much! I saw another picture of an EE roo; I think it was in the rooster contest. If I find it I'll post the link. It had the same coloration as my 3 roos--yellow with black streaks down the backs of their necks and black tails. How much importance does color play in determining if it's an EE?

Well, the only significance color would play is in if it is a true Ameraucana as opposed to an Easter Egger. With mixed breeds, color means almost nothing. Ameraucanas come in only 8 specific standard colors, while EEs can be any color under the rainbow. There are other traits to consider with Ameraucanas, but as far as color goes, there are only 8 of those. Yours appear to be mixed EE with maybe RIR or Production Red types.

Most of the time, they'll have a pea comb or a modified pea comb and probably beard and muffs. It's possible you will have some brown egg layers in there. Cross a blue egglaying breed with a brown egg laying breed and you get green egg layers. If you then breed those back to a brown egg laying breed, the daughters may lay green, but some will lay brown.
