They are almost 8 weeks old. Chicks #3, #4, #5 and #10 crow almost every morning.
On the pictures where I wrote in yellow is for those I’m not sure at all. Blue for those who have crowed. Pink for those who act and look like hens. They are Spitzhauben, Icelandic, and some are BYMs What do you think?

I don’t know how to sex polish chicks, but,

Does anyone know if you sex them by the waddles?

If so then I would guess.. #1, #2, #6, #7, #8, and #9 would all be pullets if we go off of waddles. And #3, #5, and #10 would be cockerels, again if we go off of red waddles. Not sure about #4 tho..

They are Spitzhaubens actually. Similar to Polish but have smaller and more pointed crests.

Chick #3, #4, #5 and #10 have crowed so are males.
I think the rest look more like pullets but I’m not sure…

I would agree with that.

I think there is a good chance the rest are females, based on how they look now.

But since one of the males has wattles that are still somewhat small and light pink (compared to his brothers), there is a chance that some of the others are males developing even slower. So I would wait at least a few more weeks before being really sure about the females.

Thank you! Chick #1 and #2 are the ones I’m really keeping my eyes on because they are bigger than chick #6 (she is the smallest spitz chick and most female-like) but smaller than the males…I have not seen them fight like the 4 males I know of but that might also be because they are slow developing. I really hope they are pullets! :fl

Chicks #1, #2, #6, #7, #8, #9 are all pullets!
