Hi Everyone!

I am new here but wanted to get everyone opinion on the size of my pen and if I have room for chickens.

We are currently making a pen that is 25' by 19'. We have 6 ducklings and 4 turkey chicks. Do we have room to add chicks to our flock? If so, how many do we have room for?

Thanks!

You probably have plenty of room for chickens
You start with 475 sq feet overall
For ducks they need about 4-6 sq ft for each one
Turkeys need 6-10 square feet for each
You should have plenty of room for all of them and extra space in case you want more poultry

What about a coop?

Ducks and turkeys and chickens need different habitats.
Chickens can make turkey sick with blackhead(if it in your area).
Turkeys can beat up on chickens and ducks.
Duck drakes can maim chickens by mating them.

You have the room for chickens. However, do you have the proper set up to safely add chickens to turkeys and ducks? Turkeys and ducks will pick on the chickens. Drakes can easily kill a chicken. If you have a duck pond or a swimming pool for the ducks, the chickens could drown in it. You can not combine several different species of birds without knowing how they will interact.
