Do I have to be a member of 4-H or FFA to show???

I was just wondering if I have to be a member of 4-H or FFA or some other group to show at my local fair. I am currently not involved with FFA or 4-H and I really want to show. So does anybody know if i have to be involved or not?

If you fair has an open show at the same time as the 4-H/FFA show then yes you can but only in the open show. Lots of shows around here have an open show in conjunction with the 4-H shows, but not sure how other areas are...Get a premium Book from the fair and look it up...it should be listed in there
