Do i have to be in ffa or 4h to show chickens? & If i do how do i get in 4h if i am like 16 years old. i have barred rocks, white rocks, and red stars if i want to show how do i get them ready and when do i show them they are 7 weeks old? any answer will help

4H is fr kids up through 18 years, FFA is a high school program. For 4H, call your county extension office and ask; for FFA, talk to your school counselor.

Different areas have poultry shows at different times of the year. There are shows specific to 4H and/or FFA and others that are open to everyone. Unless there is a division for production birds, you would not show your red stars; are your rock from exhibition lines or hatchery? You really need exhibition lines for exhibition, Typically birds need to be about 6 months old or more to compete successfully.

FFA is a high school program. your high school must have a chapter and to be a apart of FFA you must take an ag class. i dont know much about 4H
