Aw! Good job!We hatched some geese and had the same thing happen. The humidity was at 85% but the membrane still dried out. My conclusion was that the heat element in the bator was the culprit. I ran a couple bandannas under hot water and wrang them out. I draped them over so it was like a tent, not touching the chick, only covering. I also used a q-tip moistened with RO water to wet the membrane itself. We ended up assisting the hatch the rest of the way but we waited until it was done yawning. Hes the little brown Chinese.
