Do I help???? Is he ok??

We hatched some geese and had the same thing happen. The humidity was at 85% but the membrane still dried out. My conclusion was that the heat element in the bator was the culprit. I ran a couple bandannas under hot water and wrang them out. I draped them over so it was like a tent, not touching the chick, only covering. I also used a q-tip moistened with RO water to wet the membrane itself. We ended up assisting the hatch the rest of the way but we waited until it was done yawning. Hes the little brown Chinese. Feisty as ever!View attachment 2223754
Aw! Good job!

Sounds perfect! 👍
It looks like he might be starting to push out a bit now but still chewing. Wi
He isn't ready yet. If OP opens it now there will still be blood and unabsorbed yolk. Helping now would probably be fatal, and will do much more harm than good.
He looks to be starting to try to push through now. Do you think he/she will know enough not to push out until it’s ready?

Do still see any blood? It looks about ready to me. They know when they're ready.
Ok please help! He just popped out and looks like maybe it didn’t all get absorbed or a hernia? Please any help would be great!

Nope, he looks great! That will go down fast. It will all be closed up by tomorrow. Congrats on your adorable baby!!! ❤

An abdomen like that could easily get infected. Keep her off anything until it shrinks back down.

One ounce of prevention is worth a pound of trouble
