I'm a first timer at hatching chickens. I know patience is the key, but I'm worried about 2 of my unhatched chicks. We've had 11 successful chicks born since yesterday. Today is Day 21. There are two that started to hatch and have quit making any progress. There are two more with zero progress.
One looks like his line has dried out and he hasn't made a sound or movement in many hours. I have increased the humidity and laid the egg on a damp paper towel. I'm fine waiting it out, but I didn't want him to be in distress and not do anything if intervention was needed.
The other has pipped, but isn't making the nice line around. Instead, it appears it is just making a random type of hole.
Any advice?
