Do I need a heat lamp as well as my ecoglow heater?

I purchased the ecoglo from brisnea and my chicks are due to arrive this week. do I also need a heat lamp tooo? Help. If I do I need to get to the feed store today!

I would not think so if your brooder location is not unusually cold. The Ecoglow should suffice in itself.

I just use a heat light personally. But unless extremely cold where your keeping yur chicks I would say you should be fine.

As long as your external temps are 50 or above, you should be just fine using just the EcoGlow. I have to supplement mine with a light because they are in an outside brooder and the nighttime temps are getting in the low 20's.
