I started with 3 chicks but lost one yesterday. So I'm down to 2 chicks that will be 2 weeks old tomorrow, they are Bantams. We have a chick day here tomorrow, should I go get another or two. I'm worried if I don't then one might be a rooster and I can't have those in my sub division. I know 1 chick would not do well alone and since they are young it might be easier to put together. Help please.

As bantams, I would get two more chicks just in case you get a roo. Try to get sexed pullets if possible. Don't want a lonely chick and three or four bantams would be fine if all are pullets.

Agreed! I would get 2 more...especially if you don't know if they are male or female..you don't want a lone chick unless you have time to spoil it like crazy...LOL

I will get more, the more the merrier. Plus the benefits of eggs you can never tell when demand takes over supply, meeting new friends that will want them.
