Do you guys worry about the chemicals in pressure treated lumber for the chickens? There are many warnings when dealing with PT lumber like use gloves and masks while cutting.

The primary reason for using PT lumber is its insect resistance. It is the only thing to use if the lumber is to be in contact with earth.

Water is the other big enemy of wood, PT or untreated. If kept dry, untreated wood would do just fine and you dont have to worry about toxic nature of the chemical used and might save some $.

Recent change in chemical used in PT is supposedly safer, but…
