do i need to cull a hen

my silkie hen got hurt round the first of the year.. she was mated with a game roo by mistake.....she got out of her pen and when i found her she was laying on the ground.. she hasnt really got any better, although it has scab over... so do i need to go ahead a cull this hen ????

It depends how much time you want to spend on this hen. If you're attached to her and want to save her, then devote some time and try to help her. But if you don't want to commit to that, it is your choice to cull or not.

i would like to see her get better and maybe breed with my silkie roo and hatch out chicks, but i feel like im hanging on for nothing

Put a post in the Emergencies section, because it doesn't seem that being mated by a game roo on the first of the year could result in this.
