Hi all,

I am sooooo excited. Almost time for the silkies to hatch.
I put the eggs in the bator on 3-08 morning and today is the 18th day..
do I take the turner out today (well tonight when I am home from work) or tomorrow. I read 3 days before hatch date. Then I read on the 19th day.
the 19th day is not 3 days before unless you are counting that day.
So please let me know. My first hatch with the bator. Thanks cj

The way I figure it out is this: Set on Friday they hatch on Friday. That is counting day one as the day after you set the eggs. You should take them off the turner on day 18 using this method. If they happen to be a bit early which bantam eggs often are, taking them off the turner on day 18 helps get them in position to pip. If you forget or are unsure, it is not the end of the world either way. In your case the 26th is day 18. I would take them off the turner today if it was me.

Thank you very much for replying.
Is the humidity to be brought up to 70%+ when I take them off the turner?
Thank you for helping me. Cj
