I thought I'd won the battle with them last winter. Today I was looking under the feathers of a hen, and she's crawling (well, maybe not that bad) with them. So is the goat. I guess it isn't an immediate health risk, but

Sigh. They must be living in the old wood of the barn. Drat it all! If it isn't ONE thing it is another........

i have used the lice powder at tsc for birds and worked good, i prefer not to use that sort of thing unless nessasary but i could not locate any DE in a timely fashion. maby you should dust your barn with the DE and that would probably kill any in there and your chickens.
