So basically I brought in some new hens to mix with my flock of 16,3 month old birds. Apparently sometime along the lines of being qaurtined for some time I didn’t even notice these birds had lice.Anywho, no biggie, they are mixed with my 16 already and I have treated them with permithian spray and burned all the old wood shavings in the coop along with various feathers this afternoon and replaced with all new wood shavings that have been drenched in a permithian/water mix, was not able to take the run an didn't want to because I needed what little bedding there was to remain so I could keep things dry for when the storm hits, however I sprayed what I had left on part of the run floor and on any roosting stations. I noticed no lice eggs under neath feathers ,just creepy crawlers an they died almost instantly once they got hit with the spray .I checked the other birds (young birds) and they seem to have been able to keep them off.I found this odd, do these bugs just prefer the birds they came here on?Do they prefer the older birds, they have been mixed for about 4-5 days(so I figured they would have spread?).It will be raining somewhat up to ten inches here within these next few days (says the news) so I’m not sure when I’m gonna be able to treat again ( wanted to treat for next week or so).Any who all birds are healthy otherwise.

Thanks!
