Yes, infectious bronchitis can cause friable livers. This is probably not the only thing that can do it, it's just what was still in my brain. If you lose any more, it would be highly recommended to have it sent for necropsy.

All of the above. Though those are things we had with our last chickens to, but their livers were healthy.Hopefully others who normally butcher chickens will chime in with more comments. It might have something to do with the respiratory illness causing the problem. What were the symptoms seen? Did they mainly have sneezing and some congestion, or did you see bubbles in eyes or swelling of the eyelids or faces?
