Do mallards lay eggs?

Ok so im getting some mallards from IDEAL.im getting a 1 male 3 females and a crested pekin.my question is is that do mallards lay eggs year round or only in the spring?These are obviously domesticated but im not to sure and also will they go broody over a clutch of eggs?

A word of advice. If you plan on keeping the Pekin with the Mallards you may have a problem if it turns out to be a boy. I have 1 pekin mix and he is SOOOO much bigger than my mallards that my female mallard doesn't even hang out with the ducks any more b/c he hurts her so bad when he mates with her.

I really have no idea what time of year they lay b/c mine are still young.
