I got my first marans egg today! Woo hoo! I'm a little disappointed in the color though because the babies came out of nice dark eggs... Its medium brown but did have very dark speckles. Once she gets laying will they darken up? Its not a giant deal because they're just part of my laying flock but I was really looking forward to the pretty eggs!
