Do meatshaw needs a guard goose against crows?

Hello guys,
My first batch of 50 broilers are going to be 21 days old on the following Tuesday and I want to let them out on pasture.

My land is on a literal mountain slope and I believe the landscape is too hilly and bumpy for a chicken tractor to work, yet I haven't tried so maybe that's incorrect.
Though I like the idea of meatshaw from Justin Rhodes better than chicken tractor so I'm building one right now.

One concern is that I do not have a guard goose or any other guard animals around yet. And I worry that aerial predators might get them.

We got lots of crows here and probably somewhat fortunately, crows are keeping other birds of prey at bay. But I heard that crows themself could kill a chick.

What's your experience with meatshaws? Is guard goose mandatory to protect chicks from aerial predators?

Wanna hear more from different voices! Thanks!

My geese harass my chickens. Not sure if they would do much protecting. I have had crows take chicks. They are efficient predators.
