Do mixed breeds lay well?

I have a 1st generation mixed flock about to hatch their offspring.
They layed well, but will their chicks (2nd generation mixed) lay well too?

I depend upon lots of eggs for selling...
Should I start fresh w/pure breed chicks to ensure egg production...?

what are they mixed with? Sometimes I have the mixed ones lay much better..

I agree with the others. I have a few mixed breeds myself and I get more eggs per day than I can handle!!!!! lol
