Do my brown egg layers need layer feed

I been feeding my meat birds wild game feed because of the higher protein 24%. And layer feed to my ladies layer feed.
Is it OK to give my ladies the higher protein or will the lack of layer feed effect egg production

Some people want their layers to have higher protein. What will be lacking is the higher calcium in layer feed and this can be given to the layers with oyster shells. I purchase 5 lbs bulk, ask for bulk at the feed store, and toss a handful or two on the ground in layer run a few times a week.
