do not trust the thermometer : hygrometer on the left side of this photo !!!! It’s temperatur was 7 degrees off! So when it said 99 Fahrenheit it was really 105/106 Fahrenheit I’m almost positive all the chicks aren’t going to make it but I’ll let the eggs run there process . Btw it’s at 98 in there because I just opened the door to turn them

All thermometers/hygrometers should be checked/calibrated prior to every use. They are frequently 'off' or fail.

You’re gonna hard pressed to beat the Brinsea spotcheck. I myself prefer the GQF 3018 thermometer/hygrometer for day to day. I run this thermometer/hygrometer in all of my cabinets and hatchers.

To check my thermometers I usually just put a few in there and make sure they giving the same temp.

So you get one thermometer that can be submerged,
calibrate/test it and compare to the others.

Get one with a wired probe where you can submerge it in an ice water bath. The reading should be within a few tenths of 32.0F.
