Do older hens that stop laying also stop going broody?

I couldn't find this specific question answered anywhere, so I appologize if this is a duplicate question. I have a 6 year old buff orpington that used to always go broody, but she doesn't lay eggs anymore, and hasn't gone broody this year. Do hens stop going broody once they stop laying eggs?

My thoughts are, yes, they stop brooding.

After the reproductive cycles have ended, so does the brooding, which technically comes at the end of a reproductive cycle as hormones shift from production and go into high gear for setting.

The hormones have to be functioning for them to go into a broody state. If they are "henopausal," then the hormones are too low for either laying or brooding.
