I picked up 6 ducklings at the feed store, straight run, assorted. Half the fun is figuring out what they are. One is definitely a Pekin as he is growing quickly and is a pretty yellow with pink bill. Four are different as they have a yellow background but also some dark smut coloring around their heads. Three of these also have dark purple bills instead of pink. They came from Ideal and I have searched there and can find no other solution then that Pekin's can be smutty. The other is a little snow mallard that I hope the big ones don't squish. Any information or help would be appreciated.
