Do predators ever break through windows?

I haven't, but I do have windows on my coop. Since my windows can be opened for fresh air, my hubby put hardware cloth over them. They are double-pane old house windows. I'm sure single pane are easier to break, but they must REALLY want to get in!

If they toss a rock or brick.

then they will have crossed the line of predators to vandals.

Now this could happen if they press on the glass and the glass was weak or cheap or some defect that it would shatter, but when it does,it might scare the predator or cut it too much to finish the dastardly deed.

My friend's LGD puppy broke through their window getting OUT when a javelina wandered into their yard. Fortunately the window was open and he broke through the screen, not glass.
