Do quails sit on their own eggs to hatch them?

When do fhey start sitging as i have one quail which laid ten eggs over a month a nd still not sitting

That being said, coturnix quail very, very rarely go broody. The conditions have to be just right, such as no stress, plenty of places to hide, on natural or close to natural ground/floor. Even if they do go broody, they often don't stay on the eggs until they hatch, and if they do stay on the eggs until they hatch, they often make very poor parents.

You will have much better success if you keep an incubator and a brooder. You might have some luck with an older hen (18 months to 2 years old) successfully taking care of some chicks.
