Do racoons dig?

Im beefing up my coop due to a horible attack and although I fixed the problem i am now wondering if the racoons can dig under my fence?

Yes, they can dig but are more prone to climbing. If you can, what I would do would be to take about 6" on the bottom of your fence and curve it out at a 90 degree angle. If you bury this part just below the surface it will stop them. They like to dig right next to the fence line.

or u could just put poultry wire on the bottom
