Do racoons sport kill? (Graphic killed pigeons)

Overnight something crawled into a hole I have no idea how it wasn't noticed and killed like 40 pigeons. I couldn't really get good pictures because ants and beetles started to take over. Birds were dragged out of the coop into a pile and some scattered around. Bites around the neck and not very big.. also I found this dropping by the pile. Only one bird was dismembered (half of it was ate)

Personally I'd think more a mink or weasel with this amount killed and this little atw

They said there is a coyote nearby too? I mean this is pretty savage of a racoon... I bagged 3 50 pound feed bags to the brim with pigeons... It's horrible

Coyotes normally wouldn't jump to snag birds so unless they all slept and walked on the ground without flying I would stick with my first thought
