Do roos always stand taller?

Do roos always stand taller then hens? I'm just curious as many of the pics I've seen of roosters on www.feathersite.com the roosters are standing nice, tall and proud. However, the hens seem to take a more submissive pose.

Any opinions?

Usually the boys are on the lookout for danger -like that scary camera man- while the hens are looking for lunch.
