Do roo's have quicks?

I have a beautiful Black Copper Marin rooster and he will be a year old in March and he is very "active" and my girls are getting bareback! My question is: after dark can I get him off his roost and clip his spurs? Does he have a quick? Should I blunt them? or take them back good?

The best way is a Dremel tool since it cauterizes the nail as it cuts through. Yes, there is a quick and it will bleed like a flood if you aren't careful. The dremel takes care of that.
