Hi so sorry if a) This is in the wrong category, and b) If this is the stupidest question you have ever heard. So I have one chicken who I am not sure if it is a rooster or a pullet. So my question is do rooster pelvic bones also separate? We have a six month rooster who's bones didn't separate they are only about 1/2 a finger apart, but he is a bantam so I don't know if that makes a difference. The chicken in question has 1 1/2-2 fingers between the bones, so is it possible she is a roo, or is she definitely a hen? Again sorry if this a stupid question but thank you in advance! (I know a rooster's bones wouldn't separate as much as a hen's obviously cause he doesn't lay eggs.)

The lady said she was 3 months but if she is female I doubt she is 3 months, the comb and waddle are way too big in my opinion. I'll go grab so pictures to post.
Likely the age is correct but the gender isn't...these boys seem to slip in.

At this age, neither gender will have separated pelvic bones. The boys never will.
Aside from perhaps Austra White. They're super early layers.

Haha, yeah. I'm bored. :p

Here she is. (ignore the mating saddle she was severely bullied at her last place) I was pretty sure she was a rooster because I am pretty sure she is growing saddle feathers, but I wasn't 100% cause they could have just been new feathers cause she had none on her back. The thing the confused me is her pelvic bones, they are two fingers wide, this is not normal for a rooster correct? Also probably worth noting that she has not started laying yet.

Looks like a boy to me.
