I have noticed that about 1-2 times per day, both our roosters (at different times) will go into the chicken house, face the wall or corner, kneel down then bow its head.

. He will stay like this for about 5 minutes than come out, unless there is a disturbance for which he will come out right away. Our roosters are kind and gentle. Does anyone else have roosters that do this?

Wow ours does the same thing... We were thinking he just had a slight mental issue... Good to know this is normal... Ours also crowed like crazy when our 12 week old RSL layed her second egg... He may have also done this when she layed her first one but we missed her laying her first...

Maybe he's putting himself in a time out??? (Can you tell I'm a teacher?)

He is trying to get the hens attention ,he is showing her a good place to lay.
my roos do it all the time, especially when the i leave the door to the house open by accident and a roo calls his girls in to lay by the freezer or in the washroom.

He does that sometimes too, but at these times, he is very quite and acts like he wants to be left alone for a few minutes.
