I have a male quail that can sometime be obnoxious to the other males. They all live in a giant aviary, however I always keep the "naughty cage" set up for the "bad boys". But I have watched him on occasion, after being too territorial and crazy, to go in to this cage all by himself. I swear, he is giving HIMSELF a time out!

Oh, and about the rooster praying, roosters might pray...just before they are headed for freezer camp!

Ahahaha! Too true! He's probably just chanting to himself "Pleasedon'tfindme. Pleasedon'tfindme. Pleasedon'tfindmeyet..."

I can't imagine having to please 10 to 20 women. We can be difficult!

The very first day my BSL laid her first egg he crowed like a car alarm for HOURS it seemed. The rest were all panicked and he kept them in the corner of the run away from the coop like the egg was going to eat them. LOL

Oh, great and mighty Lord of the Freezer! Please spare my miserable life! Give me the strength and willpower to not spar with the Lord of the Farm! In return I shall sacrifice two-thirds of my ladybug crop!

X 2 They also pray for a multitude of willing hens, a rise to dominance in the flock, the death of all predators, eternal Spring, full feeders, clean waterers, freedom from parasites and disease, and gullible caretakers.

I have not noticed this; however, I have received whines of despair from boys going to the Soon to be Eaten pen.
Weird how they caught on to what that pen is for
